Threads Companion Privacy Policy

Information we collect

Depending on how you use the service, we may store account information such as your name and email address, your Threads account identifier and profile information, an access token used to connect to the Threads API, Threads posts or replies you choose to sync, relationship notes and labels you create, voice or writing samples you provide, and app usage information needed to operate and secure the service.

How we use information

We use this information to connect your Threads account, sync and organize replies, generate draft responses in your configured voice, maintain relationship and conversation context, publish content that you explicitly approve, troubleshoot the service, and protect the security and integrity of the app.

Threads access and publishing

Threads Companion accesses Threads data only through permissions you grant. The app may request permission to read your Threads information and replies and to publish or manage replies. Threads Companion is designed so that a reply is not posted from the reply inbox unless you explicitly choose to send it.

Service providers

We use service providers to host and operate the app, authenticate users, process data, and generate AI-assisted drafts. These providers process information only as needed to provide their services to Threads Companion.

Data retention and deletion

We retain information while your account or Threads connection is active and as needed to operate the service. You may disconnect Threads access or request deletion of Threads-connected data. See our Data Deletion page for instructions.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect stored information. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices

You can choose what voice information and relationship notes to provide, revoke Threads permissions through Meta or Threads, and request deletion of data associated with your Threads connection.
